This great Trad Band gave us another evening of great music!

Haslemere Charities Fair

Branch member Lucia Woodward once again had a stall at this event, and sold wonderful items of Nepalese Craft. Proceeds were divided between a Nepalese charity and our MND Assoc Branch.

Many thanks to Lucia for her support doing this over many years.

Sandra's Great Wall of China Challenge


Sandra Plumpton trekked the Great Wall in memory of her late husband Mick, who was diagnosed with MND in 2001, and passed away
in August 2007, aged 53.
The trek took five days, and Sandra walked up to seven hours each day, nearly all of it up and down steep steps along the top of the Wall !

Funds raised this time will go to provide respite care for those living with the disease, and their carers. See more

MNDA Mt Kilimanjaro Trek

In a moment of weakness, Branch member Bob Hodgson agreed to try to drag his aged bones up the 'hill' (all 19340 ft of it!)
to raise money for MND research. See more

Many thanks to all who have contributed to the cause up to now, and gentle encouragement to all who are 'getting round to it'!

Quiz Night
Another great success, and nearly £600 was raised (after paying for the Fish 'n' Chips!) Thanks to everyone who supported this event.

Monday 12th July


Social Evening
As well as enjoying the strawberries and cream and other goodies provided by Alison and her gallant band, we presented MND Association Area Fundraising boss Roger Widdicombe with £2378 raised by Roy Redford's Marathon effort this year.

Cranleigh Lions Fayre
The Branch had a stall at this event, as usual,
- not just fund-raising, but keeping MND and the Association
in the public eye !
There were balloons to be blown up, and our esteemed Madame Chair
will do anything to help !

Sunday 25th April


London Marathon
Yet again the Redoubtable Roy Redford ran for us!
Roy and fans after completing his 20th Marathon to raise funds for the MND Association. Not bad for a youngster of 81!!

April Branch Meeting and AGM
The Guide Hall, Village Way, Cranleigh
P.C. Kelly Hudson presenting the Branch with a cheque for £3149.89, raised by her team of friends and colleagues tackling the Army Assault Course at Pirbright . . in December! BRRRR!!
